Epicene announces NA/European tour!
On the heels of the announcement of their sophomore album, How Does It Feel, out July 17, Epicene has unveiled the details of their North American/European fall headline tour. Supported by Circa Waves, Jack Garratt, VÉRITÉ, Crater, Tigertown and more, the duo will cross the United States and Canada throughout September and October, then jump overseas throughout November, wrapping up on November 21st in Hamburg. This is in addition to the various other tour and festival dates that Epicene has lined up, including Australia's Splendour in the Grass, Montreal's Osheaga, and both the American and newly created German Lollapalooza. A full listing of tour dates is available on the Epicene website here; tickets go on sale starting Thursday, June 4 at 10am local time for Los Angeles, with all other dates on sale Friday, June 5.
Throughout the fall tour, Epicene will be donating a portion of every ticket sold to The Third Wave Fund, which describes itself as a national fund that supports and strengthens youth-led gender justice activism focusing on efforts that advance the political power, well-being, and self determination of communities of color and low-income communities in the US. "We are excited to announce our partnership with TWF, a grassroots organization that supports feminist, queer, and trans-rights, and we are excited going forward with them on future endeavors," wrote Allyne recently posted on the band's facebook page. "Both Max and myself feel strongly that it is important to bring attention to these causes, and to assist with organizations that work toward enabling equal opportunity, justice and empowerment is attainable for all people."
