Max and I are thrilled that we can finally show the world our new video for "Wrong Victory", which is out NOW. RIGHT NOW. The video was directed and produced entirely in-house with our management team and we owe a debt of gratitude to Mafalda Millies, Frank Larson, Alexandra Cronan, Annina Pfuel, Anastasia Durasova and all the rest of the crew for helping us realise the vision we had had from the day "Wrong Victory" was written and produced. And it also goes without saying that we'd add our gratitude to Zach Nicita for helping make "Wrong Victory" what it is in the first place, although he did not suffer through the latex bodysuits with us.
"Wrong Victory" is about the masks we wear, and the occasional pyrrhic victory in upholding them - how we can keep ourselves together for appearances sake but still struggle on the inside. I think for many of us, we know how to hold back more than we show, sometimes at great cost to our own selves. For this video, we focus a lot on what it means "when your skin doesn't feel like home", and peeling those layers back until we are left in our rawest, most authentic (so to speak) form. We appreciate and love every one of our fans, and hope that there's some solace to be found if you can relate to these lyrics. Remember you too will one day be stronger than your own doubt (different song! Wanted to end on a positive note!!).

The NYC based duo's video for "Wrong Victory" is one hundred percent their finest from their second album How Does it Feel, which dropped last year. Featuring singer Zofia Allyne and producer Max Hershenow shrouded on a slowly spinning platform, the pair slowly strip away the layers to get the the flesh, to get to the grist. Sonically—even with the strings and that sinuous bass—it's Epicene doing minimalist modern pop. Allyne's vocal curves around the melody and huskily cracks in all the right places—particularly three quarters of the way through as she nears the final climactic bar.
